Welcome to Mourne Views.  I hope you take some time to browse some of the galleries.  The galleries display the views that can be observed on and around the Mourne Mountains.  Not one of my pictures can reveal the true beauty or display the breath taking vistas of the mountains so I would urge you to pay a visit to the Kingdom of Mourne to see them for yourself.   

Walking, running, climbing and camping are the reasons I  visit the Mournes if I can take a picture or two along the way that is a bonus.  

The images on this site are purely the views from the mountains or trails that I regularly travel.  They are not nor do I pretend them to be great photographs.

The majority of the photographs are taken with a little compact Fuji point and shoot.  Lugging a DSLR and lenses up a mountain is best to be avoided if possible.  However some pictures are from my trusty Sony A200 and more recently from an Olympus EP1

For anyone who has been to the Mournes I hope these  pictures will bring back some fond memories and for those who have never been perhaps  they will encourage a visit.
